DIRECTOR OF NURSING - MISSY PRUSS
Missy Pruss brings nearly 40 years of healthcare experience to her role as Director of Nursing, having served as a Registered Nurse since 1997. Throughout her career, Missy has valued the opportunity to mentor team members, helping them grow professionally including her own daughter, who is now pursuing nursing school and is also a member of the Wilber Care Center team in the Assisted Living department. If you’ve ever had a question at Wilber Care Center, chances are you’ve heard the phrase: “Ask Alli.” As the Human Resources Coordinator and the heartbeat of the business office, Alli Suden keeps everything running smoothly for both residents and staff. From payroll to paperwork, hiring to smiling faces, Alli takes care of it all—with compassion, dedication, and a signature warmth that’s impossible to miss.
Alli grew up just down the road from Wilber in Clatonia and her ties to Wilber run deep. Now, she’s proud to carry on that legacy, supporting generations of families who live and work at Wilber.

QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR - JODI NELSON
Jodi Nelson serves as the Quality Assurance Coordinator at Wilber Care Center. In her role, she oversees MDS coordination for Long Term Care side of the facility and serves as the Registered Nurse Consultant for our Assisted Living, ensuring that our care consistently meets the highest standards.
Jodi’s journey into nursing began 25 years ago after working with adults with physical and developmental disabilities. While administering medications, she realized she didn’t fully understand what she was giving or why—and at the time, information wasn’t readily available online. That experience sparked a passion to learn more, ultimately leading her into the medical field. Nursing was also a natural path, as she comes from a long line of Czech and German healthcare workers who passed down strong values and a deep respect for others.
Raised in Kansas, Jodi was taught early on by her grandparents and great-grandparents the importance of ethics, hard work, and taking pride in caring for others. She often recalls the valuable life lessons passed down from her grandma and Great-Grandma Brabec and these roots continue to shape the way she approaches her work today.
Now living in Beatrice, Jodi enjoys the simple things in life—spending time with her two cats and relaxing in her hammock when she has a quiet moment. She is grateful to be part of the Wilber community, where her Czech heritage runs deep, and where she feels truly at home.
